The people have spoken!

St. Louis CITY SC Academy goalkeeper Lucas McPartlin takes the crown for 2026's MLS NEXT Pro Save of the Year.

Proving vital in a 2-1 win for CITY2 at Tacoma Defiance in April, McPartlin came up clutch to deny striker Yu Tsukanome a brace. Perfectly parrying the ball toward the post, McPartlin acrobatically dove to secure the ball to keep the game tied in the second half, which set the stage for a late game-winner that helped CITY2 secure three vital points toward their playoff bid.

The 19-year-old Missouri native had a breakout in MLS NEXT Pro with three clean sheets in eight appearances before continuing his soccer career at the University of St. Louis this summer. Internationally, McPartlin has represented the United States at the U-19 and U-20 levels.

McPartlin took 47% of the Goal of the Year vote hosted on MLS NEXT Pro's Instagram, beating out Whitecaps FC 2's Sam Rogers (21%), Chicago Fire FC II's Jason Nemo (16%), and Adisa De Rosario of Toronto FC II (16%).
