As stylish as it was important, North Texas SC winger Edouard Nys' latest goal was the runaway winner for Goal of Matchweek 7.
Coming up clutch to rescue a point in last week's 2-2 tie at Portland Timbers2, Nys jumped on a fortunate bounce at the top of T2's box and found enough space to rifle off a right-footed trivela to pull his side level.
NTSC did well with the late momentum and earned the extra shootout point, and Nys scored in his attempt from the spot.
Nys earned 56% of the vote for this week's honor, beating out Colorado Rapids 2's Josh Copeland and Atlanta United 2's Adrian Gill at 16%, and Earthquakes II's Zach Bohane at 12%.
