Huntsville City FC Falls 2-1 to Chattanooga FC

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville City FC fell 2-1 to Chattanooga FC on Wednesday night at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium in the third meeting between the two sides this season.

Huntsville opened the scoring in the 29th minute when Zidane Yáñez converted from the penalty spot to give the Boys in Blue the lead. The goal marked Yáñez’s fifth of the 2026 season.

Chattanooga found the equalizer in the 42nd minute before adding the go-ahead goal in the 55th minute to take a 2-1 lead.

The result brings the season series between Huntsville and Chattanooga to one win apiece, with the first meeting ending in a 2-2 draw before Huntsville claimed the additional point in the shootout. Huntsville then earned a 2-0 victory in the second matchup.

Huntsville City FC returns to action on the road Sunday, Sept. 13, against Inter Miami II. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT.
