MLS NEXT Pro Team of Matchweek 13: St Louis CITY2

The unofficial rivalry between St Louis CITY2 and North Texas SC is a personal one after the two ran neck-and-neck in the West, all the way to the Conference Final in last year’s MLS NEXT Pro Cup Playoffs.
After falling in the playoffs last year, CITY2 claimed the season series with a 2-0 win on Wednesday.
In this edition, CITY2 relied on goals from Emil Jääskeläinen, Matteo Kidd, and a sturdy defensive effort that limited NTSC to only one shot on goal.
The win makes it three in a row for St Louis CITY2, and it leaves them tied for the top of the Western Conference.
MLS NEXT Pro Player of Matchweek 13: Ibrahim Kasule

It’s hard to argue with a hat trick, especially one that makes history.
With his three-goal feast, Ibrahim Kasule became the all-time leading scorer in New York Red Bulls II history on Wednesday.
He led the way in RBNY II’s 5-2 win over Eastern Conference foe Crown Legacy FC, striking for the go-ahead goal in the first half and adding insurance in the second.
It’s shaping up to be a career year for Kasule, who made the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Best XI built on a 15-goal, five-assist tally. His latest performance brings him to 5g/3a before the halfway point in 2025.
MLS NEXT Rising Star of Matchweek 13: Idoh Zeltzer-Zubida

The Inter Miami Academy continues to dominate the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Rising Star honors, and this week, defender Idoh Zeltzer-Zubida takes center stage.
His brace from the backline was critical in Inter Miami II's 3-3 tie at Chattanooga FC on Saturday in a game that showed Miami's Academy talent is capable of going toe-to-toe with the Eastern Conference leaders.
Zeltzer-Zubida represents the fourth Miami player to earn the Rising Star honor in 2025, joining Ivan Schmid (Matchweek 11), Mateo Saja (Matchweek 4), and Yuval Cohen (Matchweek 3).
