Chicago Fire II midfielder Dylan Borso has earned MLS NEXT Pro Goal of Matchweek 16 award thanks to his long-range strike against Crown Legacy FC.
With the match still scoreless early in the second half, Borso capitalized on a loose ball near the edge of the box, he then cut inside and fired a powerful left-footed shot that sailed past the keeper and into the back of the net.
Although Crown Legacy would later equalize, Fire II held their own in the shootout to secure the extra point and climb to fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
A Chicago Fire Homegrown, Borso has now recorded two goals across 10 appearances for Fire II during the 2025 campaign.
Also nominated for Goal of Matchweek 16 were Jackson Khoury (Tacoma Defiance), Andres Davila (FC Cincinnati 2), and Luca Moisa (Real Monarchs).
Next up for Chicago Fire II will be a visit to Tennessee to face off against Chattanooga FC on Saturday, July 5 in a battle of two of the top four teams in the East.
