Orlando City B’s Jhon Solís has been named the winner of the MLS NEXT Pro Goal of Matchweek 13 for his stunning free kick over the weekend.
In the 84th minute, Solís curled a beautiful strike into the top right corner to equalize the match against Huntsville City FC in what was a back-and-forth battle at Joe Davis Stadium.
Solís' goal set the stage for Orlando City B to complete the comeback later in the game, as Dyson Clapier knocked in the game-winner in stoppage time to seal the victory for OCB.
The free kick goal marked the Colombian midfielder’s second of the season.
Solís, who joined OCB in 2023, has started all 11 matches he’s played in this year for Orlando.
Other Goal of the Week nominees included Nehuén Benedetti (NYRB II), Claudio Cassano (Chicago Fire II), and Rodrigo Neri (Atlanta United 2).
Manuel Goldberg’s side will now travel to Truist Point to face off against Carolina Core FC on Wednesday, June 11 in search of their third consecutive victory.
