Huntsville City FC came up short on Monday night, falling 1-0 to New England Revolution II at Gillette Stadium.
The Boys in Blue were aiming to clinch the first playoff berth in club history but were unable to break through. New England opened the scoring in the first half and held on despite Huntsville creating chances throughout the match. HCFC had two opportunities from the penalty spot but were unable to convert, sealing the narrow defeat.
Huntsville will now return home to Wicks Family Field this Saturday, Sept. 13, to host New York Red Bulls II at 7 p.m. for Throwback Night.
