Chattanooga FC Women signs the local University of Tennessee at Chattanooga goalkeeper for the 2025 season!
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 8, 2025) — Chattanooga Football Club (CFC) today announced it has signed goalkeeper Caroline Ekern for the 2025 Chattanooga FC Women's WPSL season, pending federation and league approval.
The Knoxville, Tennessee native played all 19 matches in goal for the Mocs in 2024, recording a 1.26 goals-against average with four clean sheets.
As a sophomore in 2022, Ekern earned CSC Academic All-District honors while starting all 17 matches and recording four shutouts. In 2022, Ekern made 16 starts in 17 appearances as a freshman, recording six shutouts and earning SoCon All-Conference Second Team and SoCon All-Freshman Team honors.
Ekern also tallied a 1.07 goals-against average and a .702 save percentage in 2022, ranking fifth all-time at UTC with six shutouts and eighth in a single season for goals-against average.

"A standout goalkeeper, she excels in communication and shot-stopping, bringing confidence and skill between the posts. Caroline has had an incredible career at UTC, earning spots on the All-Conference 2nd Team and the SoCon Freshman Team. She is ready to make an impact at the next level and she is looking forward to do that at CFC."
