(HIGH POINT, NC – June 10, 2025) – Carolina Core FC has signed midfielder Andrew Czech, adding a dynamic young talent to the roster as the club pushes forward into the next phase of the 2025 season.
Czech comes to High Point following a standout four-year career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he established himself as one of the program's most reliable and respected midfielders, known for his work rate, consistency, and leadership.
In 62 appearances for UNC-Chapel Hill, Czech recorded two goals and 12 assists across 5,290 minutes of action. His contributions helped the Tar Heels reach back-to-back NCAA Tournaments, including a run to the quarterfinals, where his ability to control the midfield and impact matches in key moments stood out.
"Andrew is exactly the type of player we wanted to bring to Carolina Core," said Interim Head Coach Jake Davis. "He brings a strong competitive mentality and a hunger to continue developing at the professional level. He's the type of player every coach loves to have because you know what you're going to get every day. His work ethic, energy, and commitment never drop, and from our first conversation, I knew he would be a great fit for our environment."
Davis also emphasized the importance of adding players with local connections to the club.
"Having players with ties to North Carolina is important to us," Davis said. "We believe this roster can reflect the communities we represent, and Andrew's connection to the state makes this opportunity even more meaningful. He fits well with how we want to play and the culture we're continuing to build here."
Before arriving in Chapel Hill, Czech developed with the Sockers FC Academy at the U16/17 and U18/19 levels in Illinois, a program known for producing players who have gone on to succeed at both the collegiate and professional levels.
Czech will join the group immediately and begin training with the club ahead of the June 13 match.
